Okay I got it. And yeah, those would lead to really different outcomes. If she matched with another Lunvalgan male, their fertility specialists would probably want them to be breeding partners which could cause drama is Artemis or the other male don’t want to.

If she matched with Drei, he’d be shocked but probably wouldn’t be totally opposed to it because he does think she’s attractive.

Indeed and it would be an interesting experiment as well if it was Drei himself. Maybe she just has a rare two matches... :P

And I'm thinking about what kind of encounter I could add to the post.

Since she doesn't have the same issues as the Lunvalgan females do, she could probably match with a lot of them actually. They just have trouble reproducing because of what the disease on their home planet did them. I could also see them discovering that humans and aliens are compatible enough to interbreed and just being stunned by that news, since they're two different species and didn't expect that they could do better than surrogacy.

Then there will come the ethically questionable problem of what to do with that information, since they need humans to save their species from extinction but would be put-off by the thought of forcing them to sleep with their own people.

This is so 20th century dystopian, haha.

It so is. It actually would make an interesting book and such. And maybe they can offer the woman to study the uterus instead. So they can develop a synthetic one.

And I think some humans wouldn't mind if it meant they can be alive and have more comfort. Though those would only be a handful. It is an interesting ethical question indeed. It is hard to find a way to make it work.

Artemis wouldn't mind, but she is biased.

Yeah, that was what was done in Brave New World. I could see them using the same technique, which would also give them the freedom to experiment with gene splicing and stuff in a safe way. They'd also be eager to find out if cross-breeding with humans would solve their fertility issues, which is why they might want Azdrei'in and Artemis to partner up, so they can find out.

I think most women wouldn't readily agree to turn themselves into breeding stock for an invasive alien race xD To many, that would be a fate worse than death, so it would definitely cause friction between the two races. I also just see fights breaking out between the immune humans and the Lunvalgans while they're trying to colonize, since those who survived the virus wouldn't see them as "good" and would try to defend their planet.

That is what I see as well.

Some cultists that see the aliens as saviours.

Other that only see them as evil.

Then just people wanting to survive without conflict somewhere else.

People who want to know of knowledge.

Just a whole type of people.

Even cannibalistic humans. It is so interesting.

I like that. There could be a lot of different groups around that they come across. Which one do you prefer they run into first? While they're out, I think it could be interesting if they're seen by those who either think the aliens are evil or are afraid of them and might lash out in fear to protect themselves.

I was thinking that they would encounter a kid of max 15 with a gun aimed at him. But artemis walking between them and talking into the kid. Where he is alone with his little sister. And she is hurt or something.

Sounds good to me! Would they be part of a group or all alone?

It’ll probably take me longer than usual to get a post up for you, FYI. I’m super busy today and haven’t had much time at home (I’m on my phone now too)

Don't worry about it, I saw your status. Take the time you need with your family and to heal. That is most important. Writing needs to flow and that means at times that you need a bit of a break.

I'm just glad everything seems a bit better. I hope everything will turn out for the best.

Thanks! The family drama seems to be on the mend, fortunately. My husband and I don’t live near either of our families, so we’re somewhat removed from everything, but it’s been crazy anyway dealing with the phone call updates.

Today I’m busy because we bought a house recently and we’re getting a lot of work done on it. I had multiple meetings with different people and now have to find a new contractor because our guy’s house burned down and he has to drop the project.

Murphy’s Law is really slapping us hard this year :/

202O is the year of Murphy it seems.

But that is a whole heep of shit. Wow, it sucks to look for new contracters too. So many cowboys or expensice ones. I hope you can find a good one soon.

I wish you the best of luck and that Murph will leave you alone

Yeah, it's been wild. It does help that I know the designers on the team personally, so they're trying to use some of their contacts to find another contractor who can pick up our project. It'll only postpone one room that needs to be remodeled, because we have to have a licensed contractor alter the framing and drywall. The rest is still on schedule to be finished next month, and then we'll be moving in ^^

And thanks, haha. I'd love that but at this point, it just is what it is. I'm arguably too laidback as a person, so I have yet to get upset about any of the problems with the house. The family stuff was stressful, but now that that's mostly over, I'm just trying to stay on top of meetings and schedule changes. My mom is the one who's pissed about the delays, funny enough, and she doesn't even live nearby us xD She's just more Type A than I am and feels the need to get mad because I'm like, "eh, things are still getting done. No big deal."

I was a type A person. But now I'm just a bit upset that it doesn't go how as I want. but if you have people recomending others so it ends up the same but later. I don't see the problem at all. I would just be very thankful that they were willing to help and such.

But i've always been quite temperamental. But I wish I could be a laid back person most of the time. It would make some things easier.é

It's a blessing and a curse, honestly. On one hand, I tend to coast through life without being bothered by inconveniences, but on the other hand, that means a lot of people don't take me seriously xD The worst is with doctors. My husband always tries to go with me to appointments if I have something wrong because I get misdiagnosed a lot because I don't act like anything is actually wrong. He gives a more realistic estimate of my pain levels and/or symptoms than I do.

Anyway, I'm trying to catch up on posts today while my husband is doing some extra work at the office. Hopefully I'll have something up in a few hours or so!

I get you on the pain level. I was blocked for like 7 days, was just a bit nauseous. And told the doc that. And he was feeling my stomach and asked me 7 times if I really didn't have any pain. Because with such a block. Most people would go to the hospital from the pain.

I get you on that.

And when you are angry easily, people don't take you seriously. Since you can act like a KAren. I admit I scream like a Karen, yet never for foolish reasons. If that even makes any sense to you.

And the post will come when it comes. Don't worry aobut it :P

My mom is the same way there, which is a point of contention between us if something goes wrong that we're both dealing with, haha. Her instinct is to get tough with whoever we're talking to, while I'm the one standing to the side, making friendly conversations, cracking jokes and generally trying to keep the mood light until we get the problem solved xD She gets so annoyed because she likes getting things done right away, and my method makes it take longer to get results. I'm rarely in a hurry though, so it doesn't bother me.

I think the only time I ever really started to get frustrated was when I was trying to fix a problem with my computer. I run Bootcamp on my Mac so I can use Windows, and apparently because it's a Frankenstein program, nobody with Microsoft OR Apple knows what the hell to do with it, and neither group are even ALLOWED to give advice to customers when something goes wrong with it. I kept being told by Apple to talk to Microsoft and by Microsoft to take to Apple. It was an absolute nightmare, and after 7-8 hours of hitting dead ends with both companies (and two others that were equally unhelpful) I ended up finding the source of the issue by myself and fixing it without anyone else's help. It was such a huge waste of time xD

I so get that all. though I al the one that starts to be hard on those people when it doesn't go my way. Like I get heated and at first I'll tell them about it. And in the end I'm just wanting to fix it as quickly as possible. While always saying sorry that i'm so heated but that it has been taking ages.

But god with that Problem.. I would be uberKaren
