Kire raised her brows at his first words. Well, with teeth like his, she didn’t envy the poor healer or attendant who had been at the receiving end of that. But given that Elva didn’t seem overly alarmed by this, she assumed it wasn’t overly serious. Elva had had her share of unruly or deranged patients over the years. So she said nothing yet to this confession, nodding in understanding when he told her that he wasn’t feeling as much pain as he did yesterday. That was good, at least. When he sat himself up, she did the same, to stretch and also to see if he needed help. When he didn’t, she allowed herself to relax a bit, covering her mouth as she yawned and stretched. He turned to her and asked with surprise that she had stayed, Kire shrugged. “I made a promise. I kept it. Consider it working towards my debt to you.” She figured he may not remember asking her to do so last night and let it pass. “I don’t know if you remember, but you asked me to take you home yesterday. I’m returning with Ysaryn to camp later, but if you don’t want to wait too long and Gavin is ready, I can portal you back within the day.”
