Elva leaned back, pondering on his answer. That it had been Kire's idea was interesting, given how embarrassed she usually was when talking about her own love life or lack thereof. She raised a brow at his assertion that the arrangement would be over, as well as at good reluctance to talk about it. Two peas in a pod, those two, she thought, somehow doubting that what he said would come to pass. "Fair enough," she said nevertheless, continuing her smoking.

His next question though-- specifically, the assertion he made that came with the query-- made her sit up straighter. "Your world?" She frowned. That was disturbing. She listed off the ingredients and explained each, including those that Gavin had added to the mix. "What kind of sick bastards in your world would come up with this? Assassins?" She huffed. "I've seen a lot of things throughout my practice as a healer. Different kinds of pain. This poison is one of the crueler ones. Kire is lucky to survive it. How did you encounter it before?"

Gavin followed into the Tower, then gagged immediately at the smells. Daryll and Ed coughed, with Ed swearing at Daryll in Taakalon. "I wasn't exactly here for the clean up," he muttered back before hurrying upstairs. When they finally did reach the chamber, Gavin gaped. This wasn't at all what he had expected.

Kire squared her shoulders. "Well, only one way to find out, yes?" She gestured for them to step back, then, slowly, she reached out to touch the window--

--immediately getting sucked into the portal. It was so instantaneous, she barely felt it. But as soon as she stepped out, she knew exactly where she was. "Envy?"
