Emily shook her head. This is crazy, she thought. She assumed that she was hearing things. That was only an ordinary dog. He could not really do anything to her, or speak. She took a deep breath and quickly turned away. She tried not to even glance in that direction for the longest time after that, not even for a moment. 




Emily would continue on with her day after that. She still had more to do. She could feel that dog following her, but she did her best not to let it get to her. The same went with whatever voice she was hearing in her head. She resisted. She was still nervous, etc.  In truth, she was not being hard to please. She just wanted to be left alone. She was a girl who usually kept to herself, and for a reason.
