The adventure is up to the collective decisions of the many voices (you) that influence the skeleton. After a round of voting, actions will be tallied for manifesting in the story. Our now nameless character will have no special abilities or magic at first, only a basic skeleton. This will quickly change. Along the way you will encounter many challenges. Upon facing them you will be rewarded with a snippet of lore that reveals your host bodies origins layer by layer. These may provide hints for facing later challenges, finding artifacts, or even revealing forgotten anecdotes from your lost soul's past. The latter will allow for some new skill, knowledge or ability to be accessed by you and your host. Much can change for our protagonist.

Rules & Tips

Ⅰ Follow RPG rules for conduct Ⅱ The IC thread is for GM posting only. This is where the main story unfolds. Ⅲ The Character thread is for GM posting only. This is where you can monitor the development and status of our protagonist and his effects. Ⅳ OOC is for all your posting; to include voting, discussion, and otherwise. Ⅴ Story posts will denote things of interest in CAPS. It is not used all-inclusively and not 100% mutually exclusive to special items; more to help encourage activity and exploration. Ex: "On the table amidst rusty spoons and a KNIFE, one FORK casts a glow." You can still interact with the FORK, the KNIFE, the tableware, the table, or anything. Ⅵ Votes can be cast after each story entry and a GM prompt in OOC. Only 1 voting post per person. You may suggest as many actions or ideas as you wish within your post. When submitting a command use CAPS to help distinguish it (FIGHT, DROP, STEP ON, etc.). Try using IF, THEN, or AND to structure your actions clearly. Ex: >CUT pork thinly then FEED Fido >If Fido growls, RUN into the room and HIDE. Ⅶ Votes will be counted after an OOC GM prompt ending the voting period. All commands with >3 votes will be implemented, otherwise, the highest scoring will be given priority. The GM is tie-breaker on conflicting votes. In some cases, even 1 vote can make it. Ⅷ Issue any command you will. Use simpler verbiage with commands to increase potential for building votes with other players. Otherwise, votes synchronize as such Ex: x2 FIGHT orc, CUT orc, IMPALE orc; This counts as 4 votes to fight the orc with sub-action of cut and impale. Therefor our character will fight and may cut, impale or both Ⅸ Skilled actions and abilities will develop based on creative, unusual, or frequent use of it. This may unlock advanced versions or specialized and unique mechanics. Things like swinging a sword, picking a lock, haggling, spellcasting, running etc. Be bold, be wary. Ⅹ If you enjoy this, spread the word! Not one of them knows why they are alive again or even how they died. They might have been apothecaries, nobles, soldiers, sorcerers, cobblers, even children in their former lives. One thing for certain is they share a consciousness and they are all connected. The adventure is up to the decisions of the many voices that may come into control of the body at any one time. They all experience what happens. This is an open source fantasy world. Feel free to introduce npcs, creatures, weapons, towns, or other features. Feel free to interact in any way you choose. Our now nameless character will have no special abilities or magic at first. Basic skeleton soldier. Along the way you will encounter many challenges. Some you may create individually, others the world(gm) might assign. Upon facing them you will be rewarded with a snippets of lore that reveals your host bodies origins layer by layer. These may provide hints for facing later challenges, finding artifacts, or even revealing forgotten anecdotes from your lost soul's connected past. The latter will allow for some new skill, knowledge or ability to be accessed by you and your host. To address any concerns about the skellybones intro, the body doesn't have to stay that way! Getting involved does not hold you to an obligation to post, only follow the rules if you do post. No one is relying on your response so no pressure, just enjoy. This is one for all.
Rules

Follow general Site rules ^
When you would like to post, first refresh to ensure there is not a placeholder post. This is a post letting everyone know someone is typing up a new scene. If there isn't one, submit a place-holder post saying "A voice prevails..." Then, edit your placeholder and submit your final post. ^
Respect the placeholder post. If you see this please wait patiently, someone is typing. If a placeholder is active for more than 24 hours you may post. ^
Please refrain from elapsing more than 24 hours IC in a single post. ^
Please post within 24 hrs of your Placeholder. If you create a place holder you should already have anidea of the story you want to tell. There is no post length limit. ^
Copy/quote the latest post's item/equipment/companion list. Update if needed and include it in your post in a hider. Anything can be killed, broken, lost at your discretion with the exception of those marked (permanent). Permanent items cannot be destroyed or discarded without GM approval or cue. If you have a simple plot arc or wish to add lore via a permanent item, PM a GM. ^
Refer to the character sheet for abilities and spells. Don't use abilities or magic considered special without discussing with a GM. Pitch your idea and we'll find a way to do whatever it is you imagine by connecting it to the lore first. It's all about discovery and learning from each isolated soul in our character. Eventually the character will have many abilities, but its up to you to unlock them. The descriptions will be loose so you can take your own spin on them. ^
Godmodding. This should not be a problem here. All I can say is don't do something that will ruin players freedom to immerse into their role or the story world. PM me with questions about content you want to post if you're worried. Otherwise, your post can be as serious, humorous, tragic, lighthearted, or scary as you want. ^
(Not mandatory) On your first post, choose a unique color for your thought's and "dialogue" other than violet. Also, choose a two word descriptor for your character. Consisting of an adjective and noun like, "anxious teacher" or, "limping axeman." This designation is not for IC atm. Post your color and descriptor in color in OOC chat. This will be used to develop lore in the Vessel's character sheet which connects the characters.
