She is far too old for a regular Elf's life style. Gender does not quite bother me as it may others. But aside from that, her backstory is quite different for such a setting. But it does fit in the diversity. So you have a bit to change up. 

All that needs to change is age really. But seeing as she is a Scholar, she'd probably be stationed on Palmacosta's Academic academy. Which is the second continent that will be visited. So from where the story is starting, you'd be a far ways from being introduced.
