When Chas found John he was still on the floor out cold. But he was starting to wake up as Chas ran over to him. Now he sat at the table with an ice pack on his neck and his eyes closed. When Kay came in he didn't look up as he said "Its nothing to worry about yet...sometimes spirits get in here...it would have been fine...if I hadn't been tapped out. I can handle this..." 

He still looked like crap, the forced nap not helping his drained state. "Chas, your making it sound like it almost killed me. Its not that bad. And Serena's shadows came to my rescue..." He opened his eyes to look at Kay. "Why don't we check on Ms. Serena shall we?" He was trying to get the attention off himself. 

Serena was still asleep until she heard talking, opening her eyes weakly but not getting up yet.
