@Melodious, are you okay with Lash popping in?
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
What's the nature of the battlefield itself? Because even if it's some Matrix-esque place, that would work, since one of the Wither biomorphs can directly interface with technology. Actually, as long as it's not just the empty void, it could work, considering Wither resilience (I'll attach the sheet explaining the species and character)Name: Lash
Gender: ???
Description: Lash is a member of a species known as Xenaris polydeimos, or Withers. Withers are shapeshifting sadists that reproduce through implanting an egg into their victims, slowly turning them. They can shapeshift into any creature of similar size whose DNA they have consumed, and the only thing that brings them satisfaction is bringing suffering to others. They are also powerful psychics, with their main focus on the ability to psychically modify genes. Due to all of these traits, when a single Wither appears on a world, that world is often doomed.
Lash is a Prime Wither, meaning the already dangerous qualities of Withers are enhanced yet more. His entire purpose is to infiltrate worlds and reproduce rapidly, overtaking, enslaving, and eventually murdering the population.
Skills: Withers are incredibly powerful, yet even more dextrous. They are naturally masters of manipulation and infiltration, but can be found out due to a hard-to-conceal lack of empathy. Their analytic minds allow them to outwit, bait, and lure their prey, and they absorb the memories of those they kill, allowing them to quickly become very proficient in their profession.
Powers:
Gene Manipulation: Withers can psychically manipulate the genes of their victims and themselves, often using this to create monsters to further their objectives. Common creatures include:
Morphs, a ‘runt’ form of Wither that is used to sabotage worlds before the Withers arrive.
Insectoids, ravenous, car-sized hybrids of human and insect, used in huge swarms as shock troops.
Amalgamates, animate hunks of flesh that can absorb and integrate lifeforms into themselves.
Wilthounds, crawling, perverted humans with snapping jaws and extreme speed and senses.
Technomorph, a biomechanical slime capable of integrating with and controlling technology.
Vampyrs, mutant Withers capable of ambushing and sucking all the fluids from prey.
Strangler Oaks, animate trees with black vines that entangle and suffocate prey.
Ceremorphs, larva-like creatures that stimulate pain nerves to torture captured victims.
Goldentongue: Withers can focus their power into speaking a suggestion that is almost impossible to resist.
Gaze: Looking into a Wither’s eyes can cause madness in all but the most resilient.
Shapeshifting: Withers can almost completely disguise themselves as prey they have consumed, acting the same and even remembering what they remembered. While in this form, they are nigh-impossible to detect.
Weapons:
Claws and Bite: Wither claws and teeth are both incredibly sharp, with the claws capable of inflicting painful slashing wounds and the teeth spaced perfectly to slide between human vertebrae and sever spinal cords. Wither saliva is toxic, so bite wounds can still kill even if the bleeding is staunched. They can distend their jaws as well, swallowing victims whole before quickly and agonizingly digesting them into an extremely acidic substance they can then regurgitate at enemies.
Secretions: Withers can secrete various chemicals from their bodies. They can regurgitate a substance that encases enemies before hardening to the strength of concrete. They can also create a healing chemical that allows quick regeneration, often used to prevent victims from dying from their cruel experiments.
Armor:
Resilience: Withers regenerate at an exceptional rate, and take little harm from poison, acid, flame, radiation, and even hard vacuum. However, they are weak to psychic attack, which can stun and blind them.
Utilities:
Companions: Withers are often accompanied by several creatures of their own making, which are even more dangerous.

It’s a physical location; my digital chars just have a way to materialize there. It’s behind a one-way barrier so you can enter, but you can’t leave. The storm is causing massive spacial distortion, so that’s a danger factor right now.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
That's not the worst of problems. Lash doesn't care about his people (no Wither in charge does) and knows that even if he loses everything he sends in, the sheer creation rate of the Withers would easily outstrip that. Heck, since he's so sadistic, he'll probably take some joy from sending someone to retrieve you from the storm just for you to realize that you're still just as trapped as before.

He’ll have to take down Nemid in the process to get rid of the one-way barrier =P

If the infestation grows large enough...
<Snipped quote by Tank O The Lake>
Who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
<Snipped quote by ZAVAZggg>
I don’t think he was trying to say that this almighty army was going to show up in the new pond and wipe everything out. Plus, numbers (a la DBZ power levels) don’t end up being all that important on this scale, so it’s all good.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
'Sides, since they're psychic, Lash could have a Technomorph interface with a drone and control it psychically, allowing him to give commands and witness the battle without crossing the barrier. Barring raids for biomass, Lash could have one of his hijacked ships stay above, being fed biomass to produce creatures it can then send down to supplement the growing swarm planetside.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
Hopefully not, but whenever I see numbers being brought into anything it's usually been in the hands of powerplayers who think spouting numbers with lots of zeroes somehow makes a feat more impressive, so it's naturally my first thought.
<Snipped quote by ZAVAZggg>
Then again, most of my experience also comes from places like powerlisting, where people don't necessarily have the firmest grasp on storytelling.
<Snipped quote by ZAVAZggg>
Your character is basically a demigod, so unless he goes entirely braindead, he shouldn't have much of a problem dealing with whatever infestations pop up. My best bet would be to somehow hide the entirety of the infestation until it basically carpets the place when it finally reveals itself. So just play a little whac-a-mole with the tunnels, and you'll be set.
<Snipped quote by Tank O The Lake>
Question is which character, because Sok is not. Mazius is an actual god, just of a weaker mythological bent, and he's busy atm. Even then you can still kill him. Alna is the major threat in that group, namely because of how powerful his magic is.
Besides, none of what you mentioned has anything to do with any of my characters nor what I actually said.
<Snipped quote by ZAVAZggg>
Oh wait no, I thought you were Nemid. I honestly don't think Lash'll bother with you.
<Snipped quote by Tank O The Lake>
Ah, well no worries then. As for Nemid, well I'm not exactly sure of his capabilities. So far he's proven to be hard to kill. Somehow.
<Snipped quote by ZAVAZggg>
Heck, he might even help you if it means Nemid goes down faster. Though he'll turn on you the moment he no longer needs you.
<Snipped quote by Tank O The Lake>
Well in that case I wish him luck, because if I stick with Sok it might be actual irl years of him gaining new abilities before I finally have him face off against Nemid, assuming everyone else is still here and he's still a major threat by that point, so it won't be an easy fight.

“The joy of life consists in the exercise of one's energies, continual growth, constant change, the enjoyment of every new experience. To stop means simply to die. The eternal mistake of mankind is to set up an attainable ideal.”
