Haha I know how you folks feel. I got bit by the RP bug just after xmas and immediately looked for rpgguid. Then I discovered to my chagrin that it was down. I tried a few other communities for a while, but they were honestly shit. Couldn't get anything started. It got so bad at roleplaygateway that I.... I.......I....fuck I can't even say it.... I made.... a vampire/werewolf game... THERE I SAID IT! <runs into room crying>

I do pictures for the first round because I feel it helps establish the setting. 

Oh, and don't be sad if your character wasn't directly referenced. Just wedge yourself into ongoing action or set your own scene and subplot spinning.
