Donovan stands around 6'3" and weighs about 190lbs. He looks rather lanky on account of long muscles which can make him look kind of thin making his weight less obvious. He has jet black hair and extremely pale skin along with a pair of ice blue eyes that are usually hidden by his hood.

Power(s): Darkness manipulation- User can create, shape and manipulate darkness and shadows. By itself, darkness is mostly used to cloud everything into total darkness, but by accessing a dimension of dark energy it can be channeled to a variety of effects, both as an absence of light and a solid substance, create and dispel shields and areas of total darkness, create constructs and weapons, teleport one's self through massive distances via shadows, etc. 

Limits/Weaknesses: For Donovan, being able to practice usually means finding somewhere dim and vacant to make it easier on himself. Bright lights, florescent in particular, force him to put more effort into creating darkness and give him a headache if he is in them for too long. Being that he usually wears a hoodie with the hood up his unconscious reaction is to make the shadow over is face darker which he often forgets. Using shadows to move around is more of a hassle than its worth being that it takes a dark patch about his size or bigger to move him which is far more noticeable than he likes and he has to exit through the same means so its a very unused aspect of his ability. His ability to see in the dark is quite the bonus until someone turns a light on while he is using that vision which is the equivalent of night vision goggles in the sun for him leaving him blind while his eyes readjust back to normal. Donovan has very little idea of just how far his powers can stretch which is a limit in itself.

Equipment: Supplies for whatever class he is in or going to. A pair of sunglasses, a pocket knife, an old watch.

Personality: Donovan is a patient and rather pleasant person most of the time being able to get alone with just about anyone. He has a large amount of self control which helps on a day to day basis with his powers or pressure from other people. When possible or if asked he will lend a hand to someone if they need it. He is very hard to annoy or piss off but when he is there it takes time to relax again in which he usually finds a nice dark place to unwind in for a while or if it comes down to it and the person gets physical he will get the point across that its far from smart to fight him. There are a couple of things that set him in a bad mood which generally correlates to the light level in a room, if someone turns a light on a the wrong time he might snap at them or just silently resent them for a few hours.

History: Donovan wasn't exactly born into much money but he was close to his parents and younger sister which often made up for any lack in material wealth. School was simple enough for him to get through, even if English and/or writing was difficult at times. There was very little that he disliked about his life except for when money ran bit short at times but he contributed in an effort to help keep things afloat. If Donovan were to go by what his parents say his powers have always been around to an extent they just became more noticeable when he turned ten and learned the basics of tapping into his powers. Neither parent wanted to have something to happen to their son so he was taught how to better hide his abilities as they grew while experimenting all the same. Donovan was careful to keep his sister out of the loop for as long as possible before she figured it out on her own and ever since leaving the house has wondered if she might be powered as well but there were no signs he could see so the thoughts never lasted long. He has been waiting to get out into the world more than before after finding he was accepted to what seemed like a college that he thought he would never be able to get into but a few local scholarships later and there he was getting ready to leave.

Other: The only hobby Donovan has ever really gotten into was bowling and even if he could only go every once in a while the guy has got an arm like a cannon on the lanes.
