[@Squashedquatch] That rule has, and always will be, stupid to me. Doctors and nurses in the real world can have families, and not lose focus on their duties. So the medics in this world can as well.

For female medicine cats, if they choose to settle down with a mate and have kits, they have to have an apprentice that's fully trained to take over while they're nursing their kittens for six months. This, obviously, doesn't apply to male medicine cats.
