Hearing gunshots, James gets a little worried. What's going on? Did the bandits follow us? Should I see if Shannon needs help? After a few more seconds of thinking, James heard footsteps walking around. He couldn't stop himself. He got up, and started to maneuver around the pieces of furniture. Do I actually want to do this? What if someone shoots me? Nonetheless, he peeks out from where he was and into the next room. Nobody there. James slips into the room, but as he does he hears someone talking. He walks to the next door and peeks through. James saw two people. Shannon, and a man with a pistol which was pointed at Shannon. Oh god, no. I don't want to lose her. If she dies nobody will be here for me. I need to do something. Many thoughts ran through James' head of ways to react to this situation, but one shone through. "Don't hurt my mum!" He suddenly cried out, stepping out into the open. Nobody would want a child to see their mother being shot in front of them. There were a few problems to this plan, though. Shannon would possibly have to lie about her age, and play along with what he was saying. With a little luck, it could work. "P-please, don't hurt her." James said, doing the most innocent and upset face he could.
