[i]Ahoy! ‘Tis I, your Captain! The name’s Deriva Graystone. Now before you go assuming that a day on the [/i]Legacy[i] is a stereotypical pirate roleplay day, let me tell you how wrong you are. Just last week, my Sailing Master attempted mutiny- I sadly had to exterminate her. I quite liked her…  Oh well. I can get a new one- considering I already have a crew swap planned while I’m docked… perhaps you’d like to join me?[/i]


Back to serious business. I’ve hosted this roleplay on different sites and each time, it’s died! Not surprising, really, but I’d like to try again. I’d be GM and take the role of Captain, but all other roles are open to others. As always, there are auditions for higher roles such as: Quartermaster, Sailing Master, Master Gunner, Helmsman, and Doctor. One person can play multiple characters if you so choose. The [i]Lioness[/i] is a feared ship. She is crewed by the damned and a pair of captains. Once upon a time, the [i]Lioness[/i] was defeated by two ships, but only those two could ever defeat her again... The two captains were a man and a woman, both of whom had been in the same position for a very long time. One was an old man, a survivor, who had survived the first attack. A second was the woman who, after the attack, took the [i]Lioness[/i] to a new world, a world of new rules. She was now the captain of that new lion, which was her new name. Her new ship, she said. In the end it will be a ship that is not afraid of any man or woman. That will not be afraid. Because she will have a captain who will fight unafraid. And she has a crew who can be trusted. That's why she is the best ship in all the seas. There is nothing she can do that the others can handle. If you are not with her, then you can never defeat the ship, he said in that way that only the most powerful men can. So, if you want to defeat this ship... The [i]Lioness[/i] is the power of the sea, it will be hard. If they were to be defeated, there is to be no survivors. Their ships would not even come close to matching the power of this one in terms of sheer numbers. These ships were the only fear carried with the[i]Lioness[/i] captains. Yet, the [i]Lioness[/i] terrorized the lands until sailors unite, though unison between the powers would never happen to defeat the [i]Lioness[/i] and her crew. The seas will never allow sailors to join together and defeat the dangerous [i]Lioness[/i]. But perhaps they will… before it’s too late… or after… Be wary of the docks at night, my children, and stay safe in bed. If you don’t… You may run into the [i]Lioness[/i] and her crew. Stay in bed and sleep, or I’ll have you sleeping outside.

[hider=Legacy Origins(Capt. Deriva Graystone)]
Deriva Graystone was raised on her father’s ship, the [i]Seahawk[/i]. The Greystone family was rich until its fall in 1989. That year, Deriva was kidnapped by vampires and turned. Before this, she was just human. She was tossed out of the family but the news of her turning spread and the Greystones’ fame declined. Many were against Deriva’s father throwing her out. She turned against her family. She got her own ship, the [i]Legacy[/i], and her own crew. When Reginald Greystone, Deriva’s father, passed on, she did not show up at his funeral. She claims that she was too far at sea to return to land for the funeral but everybody knows she’d been the one to repeatedly attack the [i]Seahawk[/i] in multiple instances, trying and soon succeeding to kill her father in order to gain the power she deserved. Ever since then, the [i]Legacy[/i] has been one of the largest powers in the seven seas- save for her two main rivals, the [i]Santiana[/i] and [i]Lioness[/i].
