Leaning back in her chair, Anni looked around the room. Hanna and Ivory both ran off elsewhere, leaving her alone with Jack, Lucas, and of course, CJ. In other words, basically everyone who had a thorn in their side, or were outcast from everyone else. Great, Anni sarcastically thought. This was going to go over well. 

She rolled her eyes at CJ's "tough" display. The bitch always had a flair for the dramatic.

[color=black][b]"Wouldn't be here if it was."[/b][/color] Anni chimed in. [color=black][b]"It's... [i]whatever[/i], I guess."[/b][/color]

Despite her newfound interest in turning over a new leaf, Anni fought the temptation to rip CJ and everyone else a new one. The urge and desire shown from ear to ear across her face, and anyone with half a brain could tell she was holding back. She had been abandoned by her friend and relentlessly bullied by her classmates. Then, when it came time for graduation, the punches didn't stop coming. College after college denied her application, and the only jobs she could secure were often of the abusive, deadbeat nature.

How was her post-Ritman life, CJ? It fucking sucked, and life didn't seem like it was going to get any better—until now. 

Anni hated the world as much as it hated her. Yet, with a sip of her drink, she forced herself to swallow her anger, instead bottling it up just in time for Ivory and Hanna to return. She wasn't going to let her demons win this time around. It was a [b]promise[/b], not just to Hanna, but to herself.

The changing of the tide was coming.[/sub][/color][/indent]
