On a different note, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I think my character concept keeps getting buried. Gisk, how does this sound?

In the 90s, I think that'd put them in the math department... which is actually really interesting in a magical setting, I think. I'm debating a grad student, and if I go that route, they're going to TA a class called Elements of Algorithmic Spellcraft or something along those lines.
