Unsure what aspect to go for yet though; might do something with probabilities and random chance (she could be a gacha addict for additional flavour), or maybe a buffer/debuffer with an addition/subtraction theme. Also damn, now I gotta look up math terms in English...

Damn, both ideas sound awesome! I like the latter for a comical spin/having fun with all the stereotypes Japanese have of Americans, but a haikubot teacher would be amazing too. Also glad to see separate ideas for a Japanese teacher or an English one, because I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be one person teaching both/all languages, those are very different careers.
