Mhm, interesting.

Well you probably already know this but to clarify slightly, the Hippogryphs were basically the empire before Ursus that the Ursus people eventually overthrew to establish their on empire. As far as I can tell they map to the Kievan Rus, with Ursus being the Muscovites/Imperial Russia (and then the Khaganate are the Mongols). 

...on the other hand the Hippogryphs literally fell a thousand years ago so literally nothing about them matters.

Edit: Ah yea it's on the wiki, albeit it's a thousand years, not a few thousand as stated there, but this is irrelevant anyway.
