His tall and lean figure moves with an almost dreamlike grace. His skin, though human-like, has an ethereal and almost translucent quality, as if touched by the subtle glow of moonlight. Quincy's silvery-white, shoulder length hair is ever wavering in an invisible wind, occasionally reflecting the colors of the three moons as they dance across the sky. His luminous, ever-changing eyes, mirroring the phases of the moons, hold a profound and thoughtful gaze, often appearing lost in contemplation. He adorns himself in attire that combines the practicality of the Reflective Marshes with an element of dream-catching. Over his traditional clothing, he wears a delicate netting-like garment. This netting serves both as an accessory and as a means to capture dreams as he moves throughout the world. It shimmers with a soft, iridescent glow, further emphasizing his connection to the dream realm. Perched atop Quincy's shoulder, you'll often find his tiny dream familiar, Ennui. She is a personification of his locked-away social awareness, eternally bored and detached. Ennui hovers with an air of indifference, her tiny figure draped in the same netting-like material as Quincy's clothing. Her expression is perpetually bored, her eyes conveying a sense of disinterest in the world around her. His loneliness, stemming from his difficulty in connecting with others, has driven him to seek solace and connection in the one place he feels most comfortable: the dreamscape. In the Reflective Marshes, where he hails from, Quincy's unique abilities as a Dreamweaver have made him somewhat of a legend, albeit not always for the right reasons. With no real social circle to speak of, Quincy often spends his time venturing into the dreams of random people across The World with No Name, uninvited and with the best of intentions. However, Quincy's well-intentioned dream interventions have a knack for spiraling into hilarious catastrophes. His desire to improve or enhance dreams often results in unintended consequences, turning pleasant dreams into chaotic nightmares. These incidents have earned him a reputation as a well-meaning but utterly unpredictable Dreamweaver. Most famously, Quincy drove King Arion of the Harmonious Archipelago to the brink of insanity with a month-long venture into the ruler's dreamscape. Believing that befriending the king could lead to a deeper connection with the inhabitants of the archipelago, Quincy embarked on his most ambitious dream intervention to date. During that eventful month, Quincy inundated King Arion with a series of dreams that, instead of fostering friendship, left the king in a state of bewildered distress. These dreams included scenarios where the king found himself floating through a sky filled with dancing pineapples, attending a banquet where all the food spoke in riddles, and even an encounter with a towering, three-headed chicken who challenged the king to a game of moonlit chess. By the end of this unintentional escapade, King Arion's mental state had unraveled to the point of insanity, leaving him debilitated and tormented by the irrational fear of his own digestive tract. Though, to be fair, each of these dreams did conclude with some kind of dream creature "harmlessly" devouring and excreting the king into a pile of rainbow-colored excrement… No longer capable of serving, the King was usurped from power, resulting in consequences that would be felt throughout the Harmonious Archipelago for years to come. Though Quincy may have caused permanent trauma for some individuals he has visited in the dreamscape, he remains unaware of the extent of his influence and the consequences of his actions. Despite the chaos he unwittingly brings to others' dreams, he persists in his quest for connection, yearning for a sense of belonging in a world where he often feels like an outsider.

Since the advent of the Abyssal Convergence, Quincy's life has taken an unfortunate turn. Before the convergence, he had a quaint little dream-conjured house that was more like a humble shed. To others, it appeared pitiful and shabby, but to Quincy, it was his world. In his eyes, that tiny abode was a palace of dreams. Initially, the arrival of the Abyssal Convergence didn't bother Quincy much. He found the ravenous creatures it birthed strangely fascinating and even cute, despite their occasional, though adorable, attempts to bite his head off. Life continued, and Quincy paid the encroaching darkness no mind. However, one fateful morning, he awoke to find that the Abyssal Convergence had taken his cherished dream house and infested it with tiny Abyssal transformed insect pests known as "Flittergnats." These Flittergnats were harmless but incredibly annoying, with their constant buzzing and habit of rearranging furniture in strange and inconvenient ways, such as hanging chairs from ceiling lamps. That was the line that couldn't be crossed. Losing his beloved shelter left Quincy homeless and bereft. Since that day, he's been wandering aimlessly, seeking refuge in the homes of others. This unconventional approach to hospitality often results in hilarious encounters, such as the time he walked uninvited into a stranger's house and tried to rearrange their furniture to match the layout of his long-lost dream home. The homeowner was less than amused and promptly kicked him out. Desperate to reclaim the essence of his dream house, Quincy now attempts to conjure it inside his unwitting hosts' residences. He carries a tiny dream-catcher at his side, fervently hoping that by summoning the dream house in just the right place, it might be cleansed of the Abyssal Convergence's taint. Unfortunately, seeing as this Abyssally Converged house has now become tainted with the pesky Flittergnats, one might imagine the unsatisfactory outcomes that this has led to, much to the hosts' chagrin.

Quincy Safehaven's suppressed social awareness and the creation of his tiny dream familiar, Ennui, can be traced back to a traumatic incident from his childhood. When he was a young boy, Quincy experienced a devastating loss that forever altered the course of his life. As a child, Quincy was known for his boundless curiosity and inquisitive nature. He had a close-knit group of friends, including a girl named Elina, and they were always eager to explore the world around them. One sunny day, they ventured deep into the Reflective Marshes, a place filled with enchanting but treacherous reflective pools. During their adventure, tragedy struck when Elina, Quincy and the rest of their friends accidentally fell into a seemingly harmless reflective pool. Unbeknownst to them, this particular pool was enchanted by a powerful and mischievous dream creature, which led to unforeseen consequences. The reflective pool whisked the group of friends away into a nightmarish dreamscape, where they experienced an endless series of terrifying and surreal nightmares. Quincy, being the only dreamer in the group, found himself mostly unharmed by the creature’s attempts to tamper with his own dreams; the others were not so fortunate. Quincy was forced to make a choice. He could only manage to pull one of his friends out of the pool. He did not have enough time to save them. Driven by his deep affection for Elina, his choice became an obvious one, but no less difficult. Determined to rescue her from this living nightmare he dove back into the pool and swam, one by one, through each of his friends' individual nightmares in order. They pleaded and cried for his help. Grabbing onto him and threatening to pull him down into the dark abyss of their torments. In each dream, the nightmare creature taunted him. Dangling his friends before him, forcing him to watch as it tortured them. Time was growing short but at long last, Quincy found his way into Elina's dreamscape. “You want her?” Said the creature in Quincy’s mind. “Then you’re going to have to break her for me.” The creature smiled as he licked his lips, revealing Elina, bound by glowing chains and being eaten alive by tiny maggots and flesh eating cockroaches. The clasps to the chains had keyholes on the interior of the clasps. Their outline illuminated through Elina’s corporeal form. Elina whimpered softly. “Help me… please…” The creature waved to the side showing a display of 10 jagged and sharpened keys. Sharp enough to pierce the skin. “All you have to do is unlock her bonds.” It said with a cruel smile. With the positioning of the keyholes on the interior of the clasps. The only way to unlock the clasps would be to pierce each key, one by one, through Elina’s body to reach the lock. “I refuse to play your game, you monster!” Quincy yelled. The creature smiled as Quincy charged as he shaped the nightmare to his bidding, launching attack after attack. The creature, much like Quincy, was largely immune to Quincy’s onslaught. They drew to a stalemate, but Quincy had a back up plan. As he distracted the creature in the fight, he had been mentally working on the dream chains binding Elina to her prison. He was close! So close! … but the creature grew wise. It countered his attempt to break the chains. And once again they were at a stalemate. “She’s running out of time.” Said the creature smiling. Indeed, Elina’s image had grown significantly fainter. Quincy growled. He looked to the creature, and then to Elina, and then… to the keys. For a long time his eyes lingered on the keys. “It hurts…” Elina cried. The insects had already ate through half an eye, an ear, and several of her fingers. “Please… make it stop…” She was growing weaker. “What will you do? Will you just let her die?” Reluctantly, Quincy grabbed one of the keys. He looked to Elina, and did all he could to close himself off to her screams.
Quincy emerged from the pool with an intact and still alive Elina, but sadly Elina was never the same. While Elina returned to the waking world, her mind was irreparably damaged. Quincy, her best friend, had become her torturer. His image haunted both her waking and sleeping dreams. Despite his best efforts, all of Quincy’s friends died that day. A part of Quincy died that day too. He was profoundly affected by Elina's tragic fate, the compromises and the sacrifices made that day. He blamed himself for the choices he had been forced to make and the trauma he had endured. Overwhelmed by guilt and grief, Quincy withdrew from his family, retreating into a world of dreams where he could escape the painful reality. To cope with his trauma, Quincy suppressed his social awareness, locking away the memories of Elina's fate and his own role in it. He created Ennui, a personification of his suppressed social awareness, to protect himself from forming deep emotional connections that might lead to more heartache. Ennui's perpetual boredom and detachment serve as a defense mechanism, preventing Quincy from fully engaging with others on an emotional level. Though he may seem socially unaware and eccentric to the outside world, deep down, he carries the weight of Elina's tragedy and the guilt of his own perceived failures.
Personality: Quincy Safehaven is a Dreamweaver with an offbeat and socially unaware personality.
