I honestly don't think any edits are necessary on your part and with the small edit I've already made in my post, [i]thanks to [@Days] feedback of course[/i], I think the reaction suits the situation [i]very [/i]well and would like to keep both of our mishaps as part of our happy canon.

Nick was internally jealous of Sabrina before she started in on Thierry all the way through her rant at him. He wasn't fully paying attention to what Sabrina was saying. So it would make sense that he'd take it even more personally than normal. He comes across as an absent-minded asshole, which is very true to his character.
