Well, it was mostly added to explain more about the dangers of field work, but also confirm Nick's origin story.

Nick does not officially meet Thierry or join The Louvre for at least a year. As Thierry was having some inner family drama, I thought adding about how he doesn't know how close his future husband really is, was a sweet little touch.

This is still Thierry's story, but Nick is very important to him.

But yeah, we can totally have another group(s) fucking around, due to the nature of TWS.
