As much as I want to get there as quickly as possible, I make sure to drive safely. I knew all too well what could happen to a mere human caught in an accident. Luckily, I have a pretty decent memory for places I’ve been to before and I make it to her place in decent time. Putting the car in park, I hop out to greet her at the door. I know she probably didn’t need another one, but I had stopped on my way home last night and picked up a plant to give her. I didn’t want to get her a bouquet that would die, but I also didn’t want to show up empty handed. Shaking out the jitters and nerves, I knock lightly on her front door.
