The thought of Nero scaring the crap out of Avery brings a grin to my face, but Caden’s next words make me frown. [color=FFF79A] “They wouldn’t try something like that again when their arses were handed to them, would they?”[/color] I ask incredulously. Now it made more sense that Avery would beat them up - he wasn’t defending my honor, he just hates the guys.

[color=FFF79A]”I’ll try and shoot you a text if I go downtown again.”[/color] With my line of work, it’s necessary to be able to move discreetly. I hope Caden’s not planning to appoint me a body guard.
