Crystal stood with her back to a large dusty rock. Despite the time of year, there was a chill to the dry desert air. She watched the exchange between humans and soul like these humans would observe animals in zoos in the old days. 'Fascinating,' she thought as she observed the evident connection between the male human and the female soul. She had never see anything like it. She has thought that she was only one who felt an affinity with her host - and the emotions. Crystal lent her head back against the rock and closed her eyes as the memories took her. ... Chloe's eyes opened. She blinked against the harsh light of the Healer's surgery, aware for a second, and then... She wasn't. Crystal pushed Chloe's consciousness away, refusing to acknowledge its existence, claiming the space as her own. And as soon as Crystal was fully in control of the host, she felt it. The emotion. Stronger than any creature she had ever inhabited before. The fear that Chloe had felt was trumped only by her anger, and it was the same anger that moved Crystal from the bed. She launched at the Healer, taking the scalpel from the tray beside him as she went and plunged it I to his chest. The other Soul in the room had left, ran in fear. Good. Crystal knew she had to leave then, as soon as she had arrived in the host, she left civilisation in favour of a life alone while she came to terms with her new body, he's new emotions, her new life... Crystal blinked, back in the here and now. She briefly fantasised about meeting a human, being accepted by them into their group. She sneered at the thought. Her own kind had sent her to this place. She wasn't like them. How could she possibly fit in here?
