Throughout the American continent's and even across the sea, a mythical frozen place is spoken of. Laska is said to be a place of eternal winter, a place that always was winter. No matter where you go, folks that don't immediately kill you would tell you Laska is "far to the North." Always the North. Some cults and religions believe it is their version of Hell or a part of Hell; the wicked are punished to live in a place that will always be frozen and nothing ever grows. Some believe it is the afterlife of those who have died of suicide, as they heard old stories of people who went there to escape everyone else.
