[@ERode] Yeah, I figured the duke would know one way or another what she is - I like the idea of maybe she joined his duchy because of the access to the academia and tried her best to only seem like a human with Olivia Rhys before her ulterior motives are found out by Rhinecliff. She could have agreed to becoming the spy the rebellion needed to save her own neck and that could be where her education comes from, to help her become a master of espionage. And definitely her seed would have been the final test of that. 

Otherwise I’m open to any suggestions, kind of letting Nyx be a moldable character so that she can kind of fit in for what’s needed still.
