[*]Only child to her single mother, Muna, a registered labor and delivery nurse.
[*]Grew up on the Hopi reservation after her father left
[*]Was taught how to garden and raise crops by her grandmother, Hehewuti. 
[*]At the age of eight, a dance studio opened on the reservation. Her mother was quick to let her wild child join in the hopes of her becoming more disciplined. 
[*]When she was ten, her mother admitted that she had a half-sister. They then enlisted the Chief to help locate her. 
[*]Won her first competition at the age of thirteen in contemporary, then her second in jazz at the age of fifteen.
[*]When she was sixteen, the Chief finally found her half-sister in California. After convincing her mother that there were better opportunities for her there, Muna finally agreed to the move. They found another Hopi reservation that took them in and she registered for Oceanus High. She was quick to join the dance team, and the local dance company, to continue to train for her future career.[/list]
