After he hung up the phone, Avery scanned the cameras one more time before he left the room. He shut and locked the door behind him, and made for the kitchen. He decided a glass of water and maybe a sandwich would be good before he went back to Kimiko and her warm bed. 

He made it to the kitchen and started to set up when he heard the faintest of footfalls. He turned in time to see Kimiko wrapped in a blanket. He grinned.
