Nic barely registers that Cass has wrapped her arms around him as his gaze shifts back to his dad. [color=F7941D]“Why didn’t you tell me?!”[/color] He asks of Ren in a deadly calm voice. Somehow the tears aren’t overflowing and he’s not shouting, but he still feels his jaw clench and his nostrils flare.

Ren looks up from his hands. [b]“I couldn’t lose her to cancer too!”[/b] 

Nic knows that the survival rate for pancreatic cancer is low, even lower with a diagnosis that late, but he still can’t believe what he’s heard. [color=f7941d]“So you made a deal with a demon??”[/color]
