Yes, that's correct. There's a whole living, breathing world out there beyond the Umbra Corp facility that have just been living and fighting amongst themselves this whole time. New players that are not Umbra Corp test subjects will have their memories and different ways they maintain their abyssal connection. These abyssal connections are mainly achieved through a live-in Wild (connected to the soul), or [i]being[/i] a Wild.
