You've been approved by the GM team, and you're aware of your past mistakes and perceptions over them. At this point, that's the only thing that matters. Unless you decide to double down on those past mistakes, which I seriously doubt even you would do, no one else's thoughts matter right now. 

So just tell the story you want to tell, and try to make it a good one.
