Willow was born into captivity of the Beowulf Clan as being one of the only rabbit bloodlines left in the area. Although bunnies can be seen as lucky to some cultures, to the Beowulf Clan and their land they are seen as evil tricksters. The only reason the Kinsley family lives on is for rituals that require a rabbit to sacrifice. Only recently did she have to endure and watch one of her parents play this role during a Super Blue Moon.
Outside of that, Willow and her family are treated more like free labor for the clan. Most of her chores included cleaning or washing, but she was treated with disgust and disdain by most of the household. Normally, she would not have been taken off of the Beowulf estate, but a rival clan had attempted to kidnap her for themselves. Unfortunately, their plans were foiled, but not before a bunny ran off in the middle of all the chaos.
