[@Pandora13] Yeah, I didn't know that about Forge until recently. What I also found interesting was that was described or implied to be a gifted child even before she was gifted in the mutant sense, so like traditionally gifted. There's kind of that aspect to mutantcy where if you think of it like someone being "more able" than you, and some people when they see others "higher" want to bring them down. Which is an interesting reverse of how mutantcy (among other things) can also be a metaphor for disability. It's those sorts of aspects that I don't think we see focused on as much in the stories, at least not what I've read so far. I mean the fear of them does relate to them being able to do things others can't, thought "dangerous" things, but I haven't come across many stories that present it from a disability perspective which I think could open up a lot of interesting insights and reflections.
