[@Pandora13] Yeah, there's a lot of sides to the mutant story. Like there's the theory -theory might not be the right word. The take?- of the "mutant metaphor", where mutants are stand ins for various things of our actual society. Namely or initially racial/civil rights, though more recently it's drawn closer or even direct lines to the LGBTQ+ community. But I know that there are people who relate to them from the disability community. Many mutants having atypical bodies; looking different, literally not fitting in (e.g. Nightcrawler has three fingers. He can't just buy gloves off the rack). How I think of it also is like, what are their limitations? For instance, Cyclops. If he ever has problems with his eyes, something as simple as putting eyedrops in would not be a straightforward process for him.
