Hey ho! Taking a crack at this again. I'll make sure that the characters I want to write as originated from a video game this time before putting too many hours into musing them, that was a blunder. Sorry, Yatogami Tohka, your Light Novel came first before your game. That said, I have a couple questions: 1. Do visual novels count as video games? 2. Are characters from a simultaneous multi-media franchise (that includes a video game among those medias they started with) allowed? An example of this is Synduality, a multi-media project by Bandai Namco that launched off as a video game, anime, and music album simultaneously. 3. Would there be any logistic issues for characters that primarily fight in a vehicle / mech such as Armored Core pilots? Should they be avoided?
Hello and welcome! Let's see about your questions... 1. Yes, so characters from Ace Attorney and Danganronpa would count, for instance. 2. That's an interesting question. While I'd prefer to not ride the line if possible, but I think I'd be inclined to allow it, as long as the characters in question are in the game part 3. That's a good question. There's Captain Falcon and various Star Fox characters that pretty much do all their fighting on foot, but there's also Bowser Junior, who rides his Clown Car into battle. I guess it depends on the size of the vehicle. D Va's mech would definitely be manageable and could just be summoned as an Ability, and fantasy characters who ride pegasi or horses could definitely have them, while larger vehicles like a Metal Attacker we could keep in the Avenger's vehicle bay. Armored Cores are really big though, and anything of that size would probably pose a logistical issue. So maybe we'll say 'those are allowed, within reason'?
