[hider=Spoilers for Lanterns]The idea im going with is that Sinestro has been doing his Lantern shtick for a while and he has chosen Earth to be a pawn in his galactic conquest plans specifically because its a tiny blip on the galactic radar that absolutely nobody will care about or even think to look into while he tricks the natives who are just emotionally mature enough to activate the Rings, while still having no idea about the galactic community. All of the other Lantern Corps are out there, they just have no idea what he's doing. And they wont until its too late.

Unless someone takes them, the idea that im currently running with is that there are other Human Lanterns, its just that Kyle Rayner was more focusing on the Galactic stuff and then defected to the Blue Lanterns when Ganthet made them and the Guardians only recently shanghai'd Guy Gardener and are training him to hunt down Kyle. 2 unsolved missing persons isn't exactly a massive blip on the US governtments radar.

Of course, if someone has other plans for those characters this is subject to change, but its the current set of plans i have going on in my head.[/hider]
