Dalious spoke to the captain and crew, he felt comfortable amongst them.  They knew what they were doing, and it showed.  He was able to fully relax.

He spent a lot of time perfecting his skills with a blade, as well as time spent meditating, all along the journey.  He would teach Arthur a few trix with the sword and the boy would teach him how to read.

Dalious would be curious when he saw Arthur studying and reading, so he approached.
