I will say this as a support for Max getting there on time and since everyone seems to be glossing over it. Iris roars out "You" [i]then[/i] begins to change into a wolf. Not only that, she stalks Velvet for a moment or two as she talks down to her. Iris does not go, roar attack. There is time between the two happenings. Mind you, not a huge lot. But Iris has to go wolf girl. So I imagine more than enough for a sprinting Max to get there in time. We had bones elongating at one point lol. 

But I'm really glad we were all able to settle this like adults and no one's feelings got hurt.
