I reckon it could be something along the lines of needing to prove her worthiness as Champion-Apparent and help allay fears among Alverians that Weiss was somehow a foreigner who participated in the coup attempt. Ame personally would rather stay in Olenta but it's more a necessity for her survival to try and contribute to loyalist causes.
