Several Deaf community members had been shot in the back by cops. Or they'd be handcuffed with their hands behind their backs. Or interpreters would be denied. Mandy had seen video of a woman being arrested and her children interpreting for her. It was unprofessional to use a child in such situations. Anger seethed at the memory of it, but she focused on driving since the traffic was thick. [color=BB33FF]"I'm alright. Honestly, I'm scared. I don't know what is happening and it feels tremendous. It was for the sake of Hermes that she took her time and kept her signs as clear as possible. One-handed signing could sometimes make some words indistinct.
