Vincent Ryder

Vincent's oversized pack clattered with the necessities he had brought with him: pots, pans, cooking ingredients metal camping mugs, his armor maintenance tools, just to name a few. Despite the obvious heft to his pack, he walked with hardly any trouble, the only issue being that his center of gravity had shifted to his back, which made climbing hills an interesting experience. Despite this, he considered every single thing in his pack to be of the utmost importance, so he refused to leave anything behind. Hanging off of his belt and bumping against his legs in time with each step, hung a pair of heavy-looking gauntlets, his weapon of choice. Normally, they would be out of the way and slung to his back, but thanks to his pack, he had to make a compromise. Still, he didn't let the constant, mildly annoying bumping against his legs get him down, not when he was looking forward to returning to his hometown and the love of his life. He had been leading the way along the path when he stopped and drew in a deep breath. The air was getting thinner, but having grown up in Greypeak Watch, Vincent was still acclimatized to it, despite having not been home in some time. He missed the crisp mountain air, the rustling of the pine trees that surrounded him and his companions. He could hear the calls of wrens and thrushes, and even a solitary falcon as it flew over their heads, looking for its next meal. Some animal shuffled in the underbrush just off of the path, curious about the loud, shiny man, before it ran off upon seeing his companions. Even the colder air was refreshing to him. That subtle bite was, perhaps, the biggest reminder that they were nearing his home. "Such a gorgeous day," he said with a beaming grin. He turned back to the others and called out, "You guys doing alright? The air's gonna get a bit thinner the closer we get, so make sure to speak up if you need a break!"
