Mandy grabbed her packed suitcase and Vet Tech bag. Both would be useful. She re-joined Hermes in the kitchen. He let her know that he had found ways out of town. 

[color=BB33FF]"Thank you. I'll play the radio in the car if you can listen to it for updates."[/color] Mandy was scared of the fact that she wouldn't be able to hear the updates. She wouldn't know. She was thankful she and her cousin had connected so they were here today. Without him, they'd probably be doomed.

[color=BB33FF]"As soon as Mom and Dad are down here, we'll go out to the car together."[/color] She grabbed the tin of cookies from their neighbor. They didn't have room in the car for her too. She felt bad. They couldn't help everyone. They would have to be just the family.
