Lucy watches as he pockets the paper and listens as he speaks. She sips on her coffee, but can't help but let her own thoughts trail off. There's a lot of work ahead. She hopes to use this hunter and his resources to her advantage. She only has a vague idea where her mother is. Unfortunately, she's implicated in this mess. She'd be surprised if Adam were to easily find her.

She sighs, "You know... if you speak my name as mine, you won't invoke any demon. That's one thing my mother found. You only call for the demon if you speak the name as theirs. Regardless, I'm sure the lord of demons is too busy to care about simple souls like us calling him. I don't think he'd give two shits even if you'd pray to him. But I get it. Caution. Especially for a hunter such as yourself."

She finds herself curious about what his definition of tainted is. What would he call her should he know the truth? She decides to leave that question for another day, and chooses to completely ignore the assumption about her friend.

"What's next for me? Do you just keep me stuffed in this place until you have need of me? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the help and having a place to be safe, but I won't do well as a captive waiting on better days. I need to get out there and continue searching. The longer I wait around, the harder it will be to pick up a trail."
