As she wonders about his comment about the taint, he thinks about his scars and his childhood. Vaguely, he heard her comment about the name and the thought, combined with the hot coffee seemed to soothe him enough for his shoulders to unbunch a bit. But still, for a while, he doesnt say anything, just sips his coffee. Occasionally, he peeks over towards the door and pauses to listen, but he just sips until his finishes the cup. "You'll become a hunter." He says simply, his voice much softer this time, "It is...the only path now. Whether or not you make it your job in the future is up to you. Truthfully, you're just in my care until we get your friend...or I die. But until then, you're in grave danger, and I'm going to take on the task of making sure you can take care of yourself" He sets the coffee cup in the sink and pulls open a drawer, putting a caffeine patch on the inside of his elbow. He's going to need that boost for later.
