A small snippet of what is to come. Thank you all for your patience thus far. I will be reaching out to folks this coming weekend.
1 EXT. UNKNOWN ROAD - NIGHT Its raining again. Peeking between the dark clouds the full moon glares. A young woman runs down the road with the silhouette of a church fading behind her. Blood, gore, and mud cakes her clothes. She's crying heavily while trying to get her breathing under control. YOUNG WOMAN Oh god...I'm so sorry... The young woman stops by one of the nearby trees and braces herself. She fumbles, still trying to settle her breath, reaching into the pocket of her ruined hoodie to pull out a burner phone. She dials a number before pressing the phone to her ear. It rings thrice before picking up. A tired old man answers. ROOK (V.O. GROGGY) Who is this? YOUNG WOMAN (TREMBLING) R-Rook...It's me, Leah. ROOK (V.O. MORE AWAKE) Leah? What has happened? Where is- YOUNG WOMAN (PANICKED) Dead. All of them! Oh my god... ROOK (V.O. SERIOUS) Get a hold of yourself, girl. Tell me exactly what has happened- Before the woman can speak, a chill runs up her spine. She turns her head looking across the other side of the road. Her eyes struggle to see in the dark. But something is there. A misshapen but humanoid figure stands at the tree line, cloaked by shadows. Its eyes glisten like a cats. A grin far too wide for any normal human spread across what could be its face. The sight before it, pleases it. The woman panics, not being able to finish her phone call. She drops the phone and continues running down the road. ROOK (V.O.) Leah? Leah! The line drops. CUT TO BLACK
