To everyone interested, [@Elmyra]'s last comment back on the interest check made me break from my stereotypical American egocentrism for a second as, [i]obviously[/i], not everyone here is from or living in the U.S.

For those of y'all not [i]from[/i] the U.S. and who have general, like, cultural/societal questions, don't hesitate to reach out (like, "I want my character to be from a nearby city but have no idea what's there" or something like that). Basically, this is just a reassurance that you don't have to do U.S.-specific research if you don't want to.

Regarding where everyone is actually located, if you're comfortable, please go ahead and share your time zone and broad availability as this can help everyone get a rough guess of when posts/replies might come in. I think I might add a tab with this info to the first post for everyone's reference.

As for me, I'm in U.S. Central Time. I think it's UTC-5 since we're in Daylight Savings Time right now. Regarding my availability... Yeah, it's a bit unpredictable. I have a sort of flexbile work schedule but something can come in at any time and consume me for days. So, as I said on the interest check, I will just try to keep y'all in the loop about those times or other life events.
