As the last of the zombies fell, Kit sheathed his sword and placed the shield on his back. [color=steelblue][b]"Excellent work,"[/b][/color] he said to all in his vicinity. He was about to ask just why the group had come to this place when the doors of the mansion shot open, a giant monster stepping through. The big man stood ready to face the beast and Kit reached for his sword again, but they were both stopped by the arrival of a giant mechanical vehicle the likes of which Kit had never seen that soon fired a massive green laser that decimated the beast.

Out of the vehicle came a man and a young girl, the two seeming to be father and daughter. Kit wondered for a moment just how safe it was for a child to be here, but the man seemed capable enough of defending her. The man from the vehicle spoke to the big man, who seemed to be the leader of this party, and Kit finally gleamed just why the group had come here: missing children. Must be from that town nearby. He had never been there personally, but he still felt the need to protect it; after all, he had been hunting the beasts in the forest just outside the town.

As the conversation wrapped up and the group all entered the manor, Kit looked around at his new companions. They were certainly a motley crew, yet there was something about them that made him feel the need to help them with their quest. After all, they were doing something worthwhile, certainly more than just camping around the forest and killing beasts. Then it hit them that he didn't know any of their names.
