[b][color=SeaGreen]Life Before The Outbreak:[/color][/b]Billie Atwood grew up in Conway, Arkansas to a poor family with addiction issues. Her father worked at a chicken plant and her mother worked as an underpaid nursing assistant at a retirement home. She has two older brothers who were often a source of her bullying growing up. Her father was an alcoholic who often came home late finding something to argue about. Due to this, she often stayed away from home as much as she could, focusing on school as a distraction.

When she came to high school, she joined in with the wrong crowd of rednecks who introduced Billie to meth. After graduating from high school, she spent most of her time working at the chicken plant or getting high at a friend's home. One day, Billie overdosed on meth and was brought to the hospital for emergency treatment. This near-death experience shook Billie to the core enough to start rehab. Billie devoted her spare time to rehab and fixing her life. This backwaters town in Arkansas would be the death of her. She went to the University of Missouri majoring in chemistry.

After graduation, Billie stayed in Missouri to work as a Chemical Lab Tech. While shopping for clothes, she met Randall, a charming man. Randall and Billie had a good year of the relationship before Randall started to abuse alcohol and became violent. She broke up with Randall two months later.  Billie decided it was a good time to plan a vacation to relieve stress, take a break from her life, and enjoy spending her hard earned money. She packed up her SUV with the necessary camping gear for a week visit to the Green Mountain National Forest in Vermont. Because New York would be on the way, Billie decided to make a pit stop in NYC to see the Statue of Liberty. Unfortunately, this would be the worst time to visit one of the most densely packed cities in the world.
