Hello! This is my first time doing play-by-posting since well over 10 years ago, but I've been wanting to do it again. So there are 3 types of campaigns, for lack of a better word, that I'd be interested in doing. 

For each of these roleplays, I will take on a GM role handling any NPCs and threats that the characters will face. For example, lets say our group is being attacked by hostiles, I will take the role of the hostiles myself, what they say, and if they get killed. Outside of that, I won't take any leadership position in these in order to give y'all more agency. I'd prefer to be in a group that posts at least once a week.

Rules
1. LGBTQ+ Friendly
2. NPCs, world, and events are controlled by me
3. PG 13. I'm fine with romance, but anything below the belt is an immediate fade to black.
4. I reserve the right to veto any character concept that would not fit into the setting
5. No generative AI
6. The GM reserve the right to edit or add rules as needed

The age of space exploration is a slow and tedious process. The first successful human-manned space shuttle to leave the solar system and return occurred in 2179. The first space station on Jupiter was built in 2248. Now, humans are beginning to truly explore the nearby star systems, create settlements via terraforming or through space stations orbiting gas giants, and build a better future. There are still dangers to space, and it is not unheard of a space station or ship going dark. You are members of the Beacon-Class space ship Ganges with the mission to investigate why any space station or ship went dark and hopefully save any survivors.

[hider=Rebuilding Society after the Apocalypse] In 2027, the Antarctic Ice Core Preservation Project (AICPP) a group of Antarctic scientist uncovered an ice core preserving ancient bacteria. They isolated a few samples for research before sending these samples to a biological lab for future research. The overseers of the project decided to keep this project under the radar due to public concern. By the time it reached the biotech lab for study, someone had leaked project to the public. This only received a few headlines until an outbreak of a new bacteria strain began infecting the general public. Members of the US officials held the Antarctic Ice Core Preservation Project (AICPP) team responsible for the "Antarctic Flu." The AICPP pushed back claiming the bacteria they found was dead and this new strain was not related to their strain at all. Unfortunately, hysteria spread like wildfire. Before the court hearing could be scheduled, the Antarctic Flu mutated into a deadly strain, leading to a year of hell. Roughly 75% of the human population caught the strain and perished. 

12 years later, in 2039, society is trying to rebuild itself. The Antarctic Flu, whether it originated from Antarctica or not, is long dead. The governments around the world collapsed within two years, but pockets of the old world still survive. The story takes place in Jackson, Montana, a tourist town near the Yellowstone National Park. With a population of over 1,000 residents, Jackson is rebuilding. The idea for this story it follows the Jackson Rangers, a group of survivors who travel to and from Jackson to find survivors, establish trade, and patrol for any dangers. 

For the group, the only main role I have at the moment is the Captain of the Jackson Rangers Yellow Squad. I'd be willing to hear any feedback or ideas[/hider]
