<Snipped quote by SilverPaw>ANOTHER FAITHFUL MINION! >:D Good to see you again! XD
Answering your question includes some more worldbuilding, so hopefully it's not too much:
The Kaides code would be something to the effect of "Strength is nothing without purpose; purpose is impotent without strength," combined with "Might makes Right." They intensely value their loyalty to the kingdom itself, because the kingdom points them at acceptable targets. Any ideas of rebellion aren't tolerated because even if Kaides somehow deposed the Crown, it would snowball into a conflict that could only end with Kaides being defeated, or with there being no enemies left to fight.

And, I mean, they're not complete insane anime-caricatures. Most of them have the same sense of honor and morality you'd expect from those raised by medieval nobility, so while it's important for knights to be strong and their own secular culture can be kind of extreme, they are by no means a monolith.

As for your assassin idea: The Kaides have three "elite" units in their forces, one of which are the Sykaros. They're assassins in all but name, on paper they're a "scouting/recon/intelligence" group but when it comes to how you fight, the speedy/stealthy/tactical types usually end up here... IF you have enough talent to be "selected" after Awakening your Aura! House Kaides doesn't pride itself on cloak-and-dagger behavior, but they see it as a tool in battle like many other realities of military engagement.

In terms of "public reputation," though, their direct combat unit Glavios is the one that makes the youngsters say "I'm gonna be the strongest guy, buh-leeve it!" If you wanted your character to be someone who was forced into/pursued a frontline role that they weren't suited for, this could definitely factor into that---maybe their mother or someone else pushed them towards Glavios as a stairway to success only to watch them tumble down, or maybe the character was so dedicated to an unrealistic ideal that they "missed their true calling," and so forth.

Just as an aside, the last unit is Saigetta, and they specialize in ranged weaponry, artillery, and other large-scale battle type stuff.
Heh, of course, I checked in. Also, it's relieveing to know they're not idiots of the 'nuh-uh no backstabbing' kind, they just want you to be polite about it lmao. I can work with this, prolly my character will be someone who for some reason or another didn't make it Skyaros, whether differing ambitions or whatever else.

RE magic: I am ok either way tbh. Having it seems like extra flavour, so I don't see why not, really.

Could we also get some basic lore on the other two houses? If Kaides was blamed for even the downfall of the kingdom, what about them?
