All the profanities around the world in every language have probably slipped from this woman’s vulgar mouth as she ran, half panting half cursing, down the alley away from the NTS station, away from the sounds of gunshots and screams. A few more steps and profanities and she was heaving like a fish out of water, head tilted up towards the dark sky as she forced her burning legs to continue sprinting until she was wobbling. She kept this up for a good while before she kneed the side of a dumpster, promptly causing her to spin on one foot and crash down onto the paved ground. Her body was limp, too exhausted to curl up and cradle her stinging knee or stand back up and continue running. She was too exhausted and out of breath to mutter even one last profanity, though she did try to for few moments. When she had calmed down and wasn’t straining for breath, she stood back up and examined herself over. Her black, baggy cargo pants had some small tears on the thighs, though the pouches were fine. She adjusted the webbing straps over her leather jacket and zipped it up. A final glance over her brown combat boots and tactical belt left her satisfied with what she managed to escape with. She raised both of her arms to look at the two Uzis firmly held by her trembling hands. Was it excitement? Fear? No, it was exertion after her sprint, a struggle to make sure she didn’t drop them. She double-checked her equipment again to make sure, but alas, there were no holsters. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
“I was shot. ”
Her eyes slowly opened, blankly staring into the sky as if unable to comprehend her own words.
“I- no, he was shot. ”
She shook her head, before her face contorted into a cruel snarl.
“Guanyin was shot. Guanyin… was shot. I was shot. Guanyin was… I was shot! I, I’ll-!”
She chuckled halfheartedly, and then continued to giggle until it escalated into a venomous snickering before finally ending as a cruel and hysterical laughter.
“Interesting!” she mused when her laughing fit subsided. “So he thinks he can get away with that, huh?! I’ll kill him! I’ll fucking murder him! No, I’ll do much worse! Just you wait, Omega!”
She started moving forward, teetering left and right as she shuffled through the alley.
“I’ll make sure to break you! Not for Kostrat… Not for Yvonne… Not even for our deal! I… I don’t care anymore about that anymore. Guanyin doesn’t care anymore. ”
She paused, feeling the sore pain shiver up her limbs to her spine. She licked her lips in anticipation.
“We just want to hurt you. I just want to hurt you sooooo~ bad!”
She started giggling again, but forced herself to swallow hard to stop. For now, she needed some place to lay low while the heat burns out its fuse. A quick glance around only revealed the walls of apartments that lined the alley, a fire escape, and a duo of dumpsters. She clicked her tongue in annoyance before continuing on her way, deciding that stalking the alleys was safer than invading someone’s house and silencing them. Hopefully, the police force in New Tokyo isn’t too tenacious…
